CHÂTEAU DE BONAVENTURE
This castle was enlarged and raised in the XIXth century in imitation of the architecture of the beginning of the XVIIth century by Mrs Paul de Charnacé
This private property consists of a large park and an ancient castle flanked by four towers and surrounded by pits. A few characters, made this place their home, paying tribute to the Earl of Champagne: Robert d'Aulnoy in 1171, Thomas d'Aulnoy or Houssière in 1250. The latter held, as received from the king, the house of Houssière. In 1516 Germaine de Foix, sister of Gaston de Foix, seigneur of Aragon and lady of Coulommiers built the land of the Houssière, in favour of its notary, Jehan de Beldon, to reward him for his good and loyal services. The four corner turrets were built under François I in 1520 on an existing house. Became a hunting pavilion under Henry IV, it was enlarged and raised in the th century by imitating the architecture of the early th century by Madame Paul de Charnacé. Ancient woodwork. House above the gate. The domain had long belonged to the De Charnacé family (since 1809) before being resold to the Thomas family in 2014.

And then there's Farinoush, the proud owner of the Château- her passion for this project could be felt in every corner of the property. She was the perfect hostess from start to finish and gave us lots of valuable tips that made our planning much easier. We rented the venue for a weekend. Friday with a welcome dinner in front of the château - it was magical! Our wedding ceremony took place in the small church next to the property, which captivates with its old charm. The rooms are equipped to a very high standard, with everything you need. Farinoush served our guests breakfast on Saturday in front of the Château, which was like a 5-star hotel. Dear future bridal couples, if you choose this château to be your wedding venue, you can be 100% sure that the most important day of your lives will be the most beautiful!
