LA FETE DU VILLAGE DES PEINTRES
Barbizon could not ignore its glorious past as a village of painters, which attracted English landscape painters such as Turner, Constable, Bonnington, etc. Later, the invention of tube painting allowed painters to leave their workshops and work directly in nature. From this emerged the Barbizon School of Painting, characterized by its paintings of country landscapes. Also, the Festival of the Painters' Village is a way to maintain and pay annual tribute to this picturesque village. On the program: stand with street animations and exhibitions.
