Today, Didier Noël is one of the last remaining basket-weavers in Seine-et-Marne, keeping alive a magnificent ancestral know-how. At the end of the 19th century, there were almost two hundred of them in the Morin valley. On the ground, Didier Noël makes and repairs various baskets from white or grey wicker: shopping baskets, wood baskets, cheese trays, baskets... Every year, in February, he harvests his wicker and bundles it. The wicker is then peeled to give it its light color. Superb!
