Initially built around 1220, the fortress knew multiple modifications and enlargements before being abandoned and its ruins sold to the commune in the XIXth century. In 1986, its restoration begins. 20 years later, in 2007, the castle of Blandy, restored, is inaugurated. It impresses by its high structures which contrast with the traditional houses. Its visit reveals its covered ways, its courtyard, its cellar and its various rooms and towers. Events and craft festivals are organized there.

Opening time and information on BLANDY CASTLE
Open daily from 1 pm to 6:30 pm. Free for children under 17 (free for students under 25, jobseekers, disabled, etc.). Adults: €7. Group (10 people): €5 (by reservation). Reduced rate: €5 (18 to 25 and over 65). Tourism & Handicap label. The entrance to the château is paved. The cellars, towers and walkways are not accessible to wheelchair users. Children welcome (two versions of discovery booklet for young visitors: €1). Guided tours (€2 extra for ages 3 to 17; €4 extra for ages 18 and over). Gift store. Audioguides: €3 for adults, free for children under 7.

Located in the commune of Blandy-les-Tours, Château de Blandy is a historic site well worth a visit. A rare example of medieval military architecture in the Île-de-France region, this edifice, built from the 13th to the second half of the 14th century, has undergone a number of events and works. It was restored by the Conseil départemental de la Seine-et-Marne and inaugurated in 2007. A visit here will immerse you in the castle's medieval history. You'll marvel at the castle's impressive towers, rooms and cellar. The courtyard is also the perfect setting for a stroll. What's more, you can picnic in the castle's various outdoor areas. While you're there, don't miss a visit to the on-site boutique-library. You'll find a wide selection of books, objects and toys relating to the Middle Ages and castles.

glablement très sympa, surtout avec des enfants, et on peut le coupler avec Vaux-le-Vicomte. pas de problèmes pour se garer face au château.
