THE MONASTERY OF SAINT JOSEPH
A monastery once attached to the castle, it houses a religious congregation that organizes spiritual retreats
The monastery once belonged to the château, of which it was an outbuilding. Since 1933, it has been home to the Benedictine Congregation of Jesus Crucified. A modern monastic church was built a few years ago. The congregation welcomes groups and individuals wishing to meditate and retreat. Unusual: under a dome, the old ice-house, dug into the earth, once served to store perishable goods such as game hunted in the nearby forest.
