Water mill purchased by the Communauté d'Agglomération de Marne et Gondoire in 2004.
A watermill for more than four centuries, the Russon Mill was modernized in 1852 with "English style" gears that transformed it into a small flour mill. This mill ceased all flour production in 1911 and was successively an abandoned watermill, an industrial building, a farm and then the private home of a doctor.
It was bought by the Communauté d'Agglomération de Marne et Gondoire in 2004, which restored it to its 19th century form so that it could return to its former use as well as an educational dimension. Indeed, this mill, one of the few still in operation in the Ile-de-France region, is now equipped with a colourful and modern scenographic layout that allows visitors to understand how it works while having fun.
