WHITE HORSE INN
Former horse-post office in Chailly-en-Bière, home to works by visiting painters
This building, recognizable by its white facade in Chailly-en-Bière, is a former horse-post relay dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries. It's well worth a visit. They house no fewer than 70 paintings on wood (classified by the Beaux-Arts). These works of art adorn the walls of the small dining room at the back. The reason is quite simple: many painters stayed here before the Auberge Ganne, closer to the forest, opened. So they left here, engraved, the traces of their passage, an expression of all their talent!
