ST. NICHOLAS CHURCH
Church preserving the superb Gothic wooden stalls of the vanished Neubourg Abbey
In the 12th century, the German Emperor Frederick Barbarossa provided a refuge for the needy and sick. Built in Gothic style, the hospital was entrusted to a community of priests: canons who followed the rule of the recently created Premonstratensian order. The site became a sanctuary whose buildings, affected by conflicts throughout history, were regularly rebuilt. Today's church preserves the superb Gothic wooden stalls of the vanished Abbey of Neubourg, saved from destruction during the French Revolution.

Tolle Atmosphäre. Wundervolle Stimmung.
Und wie so oft. Die Schmiedearbeiten im Eingang! Und im inneren. Sensationell.
