Museum presenting collections relating to the history of the town, from prehistory to the present day, with jewelry, tools, etc
Who remembers Richard the Lionheart's Appearance before Henry IV? In the museum, a stained glass window designed by Léo Schnug in 1903 commemorates the trial of the famous character, which took place in Haguenau in 1193. The visit begins in the basement with the archaeological remains. On the first floor, you'll learn about the founding of the town in 1115 and its influence until the 16th century. On the second floor, the story continues, covering the 17th century through to the present day. Numerous precious objects illustrate these periods.
