ALFRED BONNO MUSEUM
Museum housing a fine collection of Merovingian fabrics, including garments belonging to Queen Bathilde.
You'll have to be patient before you can see or revisit the museum's exceptional collections.
Currently closed to the public, the entire collection will be transferred to a new building by 2026. This includes the personal collection of Abbé Bonno, Chelles' parish priest from 1899 to 1911. The collection bears witness to the history of Chelles, from prehistory to the 20thcentury . A fine collection of Merovingian fabrics is particularly noteworthy, including pieces that belonged to Queen Bathilde, founder of the monastery in the 7th century, and to the first abbess, Bertille.
