LES STATUES DE LA PISCINE
This marble statue dating from 1905, installed opposite a vintage swimming pool, is listed in the Louvre Museum inventory.
This vintage open-air pool is no longer in use. From now on, swimmers go to Fontenay-Trésigny. But we come to see the statues! The marble statue facing the pool and dating from 1905, is the work of André Vermare. Listed in the Louvre Museum inventory, this statue of a woman, known as Suzanne, was deposited by decree with the commune of Courpalay in 1953. The second statue sculpted by Antoine Sartorio in 1920, represents a couple.
