MANÈGE DE SÉNARMONT
A listed manège, a remarkable architectural landmark and a symbol of French military equestrian art.
Built in 1807 in the Carrousel district, this riding arena is a former dependency of the Château de Fontainebleau. Classified as a historic monument, it is a remarkable architectural landmark. Initially used as a stable, it became a training ground for military equitation. The manège, named Sénarmont, is a technical feat with its Philibert Delorme-style wooden framework. Since the Second World War, it has been home to the Centre sportif d'équitation militaire. This historic site remains a symbol of French military equestrian art.
