SAINT-YON CHURCH
Renaissance style church located in Lésigny, consecrated in 1523 by François de Poncher, bishop of Paris.
Priest and martyr of the 3rd century, Saint Yon gave his name to this 16th century Renaissance church, consecrated in 1523 by François de Poncher, bishop of Paris. The building is composed of a single nave with two bays and a choir decorated with panelling ending in a three-sided apse. Its octagonal bell tower and its spire rest on the center of the building, recalling a Tourangeau style. The stalls are from the beginning of the 18th century. The altarpiece from the middle of the 18th century comes from the church of the abbey of Hyverneaux as does the bell from 1735.
