Palace with French garden in Meaux, a historic site housing the Bossuet Museum and Fine Arts collections

The Bossuet Museum, located in the former episcopal palace, bears the name of the famous theologian Bossuet, bishop of Meaux from 1681 to 1704. This vast monument, combining medieval and Renaissance architecture, houses collections of paintings and sculptures, as well as objects testifying to the history of the Meaux region from Antiquity to the 20th century. Gallo-Roman and medieval collections reveal the importance of Meaux and its region over 2,000 years ago.

On peut y passer au moins 2 h : palais épiscopal, musée de l'imprimerie au sous sol, cathédrale et jardin avant un petit thé ds un café du centre .
Endroit agréable et calme loin des lieux touristiques ultra fréquentés .
