Palace with French garden in Meaux, a historic site housing the Bossuet Museum and Fine Arts collections

The Bossuet Museum, located in the former episcopal palace, bears the name of the famous theologian Bossuet, bishop of Meaux from 1681 to 1704. This vast monument, combining medieval and Renaissance architecture, houses collections of paintings and sculptures, as well as objects testifying to the history of the Meaux region from Antiquity to the 20th century. Gallo-Roman and medieval collections reveal the importance of Meaux and its region over 2,000 years ago.

Musée qui abrite une belle collection de peintures ( il n'y a pas que Paris ) et des salles sur l'histoire de la ville et sa région ainsi que sur Bossuet.
