Situated in the heart of Montereau-Fault-Yonne, at the confluence of the Seine and Yonne rivers, this edifice, founded in 1195 by Michel de Corbeil, Archbishop of Sens, combines flamboyant Gothic and Renaissance styles. Completed in the 16th century, the collegiate church contains the sword of John the Fearless hanging in the nave. Listed as a historical monument since 1908, the collegiate church contains a number of fine works of art, including a statue of the Virgin and Child, and a painting by Frère Luc.
