Castle with a garden listed in the pre-inventory of Remarkable Gardens
In the 13th century, the Beaulieu family was among the most important ones in the Brie region. The family remained the owner of the castle until 1372. In 1480, Jean I du Drac became Lord of Beaulieu. The tombstones of several members of this family are located in the church of Pécy. Partially destroyed by fire in 1611, the castle was rebuilt, then extensively modified in the eighteenth century. Moats and pepperpot towers, brick facades and sandstone blocks give punctuate the building. The ornamental garden is listed in the pre-inventory of the Jardins Remarquables (Remarkable Gardens).
