NOËL INSOLITE À PROVINS
Every year in December, Provins goes to great lengths to please everyone. The unusual Christmas is here to offer a festive weekend between a medieval market (which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2019), a living crèche (show in the Saint-Quiriace collegiate church), tales, guided tours, steam trains, Santa Claus hunting (in the César Tower), street shows, costumes, children's games, an auction or even an ice rink! The whole is so efficient that the world is pouring in, forcing visitors to come early, or to park their cars in the lower town, towards the SNCF station for example (free spaces are often available there). Be careful, in the evening the activities generally end around 6pm. We like the medieval market very much, because the stands present quite a few artisanal products to taste (medieval dishes, honeys, drinks) or not (fantasy sculptures, troll puppets, daggers, princess dresses, etc.). It is really a few hours out of time that we spend in this way, between the cold of December and the heat of the festivities.
