CAFÉ LIBRAIRIE MICHÈLE FIRK
Michèle Firk, a Montreal filmmaker who made a name for herself in Guatemalan guerrilla warfare in the 1960s, gave her name to an exciting bookstore. Here the books are arranged by themes rather than by authors, and all fall under the social sciences. You will find novels, essays, comics, and of course many fanzines. We like to come here to catch the air of time and take inspiration from the citizens' initiatives, while drinking coffee or fruit juice. The bookseller is rarely eager in terms of discussion, and there is a strong risk of staying longer than expected. The library is located in the wandering Word, which hosts a large number of events and meetings of all kinds, testimony to the great diversity of Montreuil residents, their desires and their ideas. An indispensable place for all those who like to revive the world.
