Bringing together motorcyclists and other two- and three-wheeled users since 1980, the FFMC aims to promote road motorcycling with an emphasis on safety. Operating as a pressure group, it uses various means of action to make itself heard: demonstrations, petitions, one-off actions and upstream work with the authorities. The 88 local branches regularly organize tourist outings and meetings, in the style of motorcycle clubs.
