THE LIVING HISTORY MUSEUM
It is one of the oldest museums in the region. Inaugurated in 1939, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the French Revolution, it presents numerous temporary exhibitions as well as a permanent collection of archival documents and historians' views on the major stages of French history, from the Revolution to the Second World War, with themes dedicated to key figures (Louise Michel, Captain Dreyfus, Jean Jaurès, etc.). Since spring 2019, the site has been offering an exhibition on workers "at the museum". The title is deliberately provocative, and evokes a less and less busy profession. The building, vast and of architecture very representative of the period, is located in Montreau Park, the occasion of a nice walk before, or after, your passage in these places.
