No, no, no, it is not a question of angling but of fruit! Indeed, many decades ago, Montreuil was the framework for fruit production, including this one. Bucolic, vast areas of fruit trees and stone walls were the pride of the inhabitants, until urbanization was catching up, even projecting the last of these plots to build up to 250 homes. And it is to counter this project that the Walls in Fisheries association was born. And every year in June, the association organizes a very popular festival, where music, discoveries, artistic performances, projections or culinary tastings hold the top of the pavement. A festival for small and large, which today makes the city proud.
