AIDES
Aid is the first anti-AIDS association in France. Recognised as a public utility since 1990, it is present in over 70 cities in France through its Regional Committees in which Volunteers and employees work: aid and support for people affected, access to treatment, prevention, health and social monitoring, anonymous and free screening testing. Aid also develops responses from professionals adapted to the medical, legal, social, material and psychological difficulties of people living with AIDS. Its volunteers also put in place preventive actions with the general public and some communities. But aid has other tasks: alert and inform public opinion about the reality of the epidemic and the difficulties faced by people living with HIV/AIDS, acting with the public authorities to implement concrete solutions, mobilize the general public - quarterly magazine Remaides. On the other hand, the association works in partnership with health professionals, social action officials, emergency reception structures and prison centres. Aid is 76 places of mobilization, 1 500 activists and activists, and 43 500 screening tests in 2016.
