A key player in the bathroom industry for over 120 years, Jacob Delafon has distinguished himself by his ancestral know-how. Thanks to its experience acquired over the decades, the brand gives birth to products of impeccable quality, durable, aesthetic and ever more stylish. Its baths are stamped Origine France Garantie.

History. In 1873, the Jacob Delafon company was born from the association of Messrs. Emile Jacob and Maurice Delafon who planned the development of hygiene and hydrotherapy at the end of the 19th century. In 1889, they founded a factory in Pouilly-sur-Saône (21) and began manufacturing enamelled stoneware sanitary blocks. The constant development of the manufacture of sanitary appliances led them to acquire a factory in Belvoye - Dole - Jura (39). This company specializes in the production of a new product, "granit-porcelain", which quickly earned the Company a worldwide reputation. It was rewarded at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1900.

In 1926, Jacob and Delafon built a factory of enamelled cast iron baths in Noyon (60). In 1938, Société générale de fonderie absorbed Jacob Delafon & Cie, then in 1941, Société des produits réfractaires de Boulogne-sur-Mer and, in 1950, Société le Grès Blanc (Gargenville). The extension continued in Reims in 1967, where the valve manufacturing previously carried out at the Rapée plant in Paris was transferred. Thus the General Foundry Group was gradually formed. With the acquisition of the group's health activities in 1986, the Jacob Delafon brand has since then belonged to the American Kohler Company group, of which it became its French subsidiary: Kohler France. Its trademarks are Jacob Delafon and Sanijura, a bathroom furniture manufacturer.

The products. Hand-washing basins, baths, whirlpools, shower walls, basins, taps...

Employment. The Kohler Group represents more than 32,000 employees, including 8,000 at headquarters. And more than 50 sites worldwide.
