LE FESTIVAL DE SAINT-DENIS
Go there and contact
It is one of the largest classical music festivals in France. The great orchestras and soloists and singers have been there every year for four decades. Every year in June, several sites in Saint-Denis host concerts, especially the Cathedral Cathedral. Liturgical, symphonic, sacred or spiritual works are given by conductors, soloists and prestigious singers. Gradually, its programming has expanded to other musical forms: baroque, world music, the Corsican polyphonies of A Filetta, contemporary music with John Adams or Arvo Pärt, to other artistic forms with great personalities such as Philippe Decouflé, Bob Wilson, Peter Sellars. The other places where concerts take place are located near the Basilica: House of the Legion of Honour, Theatre Gérard Philipe and Magic Métis. Note that a Métis festival, founded by the Festival de Saint-Denis, takes place throughout the spring in the vicinity of the city.
