OLD SAINT-OUEN CHURCH
Built in the 12th century, the building features Romanesque elements, including the choir and some bays. At the end of the 15th century, the nave was extended with side spans: the broken arches replaced the semicircular arches. The warheads rest on massive columns with octagonal capitals. You can admire the purity of the lines and the harmony of the combinations. In this church, which was listed as a Historic Monument in 1933, you can also admire an organ dating from the 18th century. Located on a promontory above the Seine and a few vine plants, the church square offers a vast panoramic view of the surroundings. Its nearest environment is constantly changing: this part of the city, with the upcoming arrival of the metro, is bristling with cranes that deliver hundreds of new homes at regular intervals. A new life for the neighbourhood, in short.
