IVECO
Iveco is a leading company in the construction of commercial and industrial vehicles. Part of its product range, like the Irisbus, is certified Origin France Guarantee.
History. Iveco (Industrial Vehicles Corporation) was born on January 1, 1975 from a merger between Fiat Industrial Vehicles, a company in Turin, Italy; OM of Brescia, Italy; Lancia Special Vehicles of Bolzano, Italy; Unic de Trappes, France, and Magirus-Deutz d 'Ulm, Germany.
The Daily becomes the first official Iveco project. This range of light vehicles was launched in 1978 and the Daily is a reputation for a real "small industrial vehicle". Then, the 1980 s saw unrivaled engines. The brand adopts the Iveco diesel turbo engine on vehicles from all ranges; then it introduces the first direct injection diesel engine on light vehicles and then develops the first diesel engine with EGR for light vehicles.
The turbostar, the first heavy utility vehicle to bear the name Iveco, was produced in 1984. And this is a success in Italy and throughout Europe.
Thanks to numerous acquisitions (Astra, Pegaso), international alliances and joint ventures (Iveco Ford Truck Ltd, Iveco Trust Australia Ltd, Naveco), Iveco has gained its place among the major global players in the road vehicle sector. August 17, 1991 will be an historic date because it marks the beginning of important collaboration by opening the first production line of the turbodaily, at the Nanjing Motor (Beijing) establishment. As a result, the company extends its business in China and launches a series of important projects on the European market through new commercial, industrial and industrial engines and vehicles.
The twenty-first century begins with new developments. New products are completely revolutionizing the ranges: the New Daily, eurocargo, Stralis and Trakker. Two new brands 100% Iveco come into being: Irisbus and Iveco Motors. The Daily was elected "Van of the Year" in 2000 while Stralis became the "Truck of the Year" in 2003.
The products. Road vehicles, all terrain, camper bus, Iveco Bus…
