LE CARIBEEN
The decor is minimalist and the order is made at the counter, but sandwiches, salads and hot plates have a good taste of exotic cuisine. We eat acras, plantain banana chips, before you get to serious things: botik, fried bread of Antillean origin, topped with marinated chicken, chicken or spiced beef. The seasoning, based on cheddar and red onion, is both piquant and fondant. To supplement, you are asked for a Caribbean rice rather than fries, a tropical juice instead of a cola that we usually drink. We are looking at desserts: there is a coconut sherbet, a chocolate-flavoured cheesecake, a strawberry en… Is it worth it? Well, yes.
