HOUSE OF PHOTOGRAPHY ROBERT DOISNEAU
Robert Doisneau (1912-1994), a child of Gentilly, is the photographer par excellence of Paris and its suburbs. Who has never seen or even been tempted to buy a reproduction of one of his essential shots? His photos, full of poetry and humour, show the lives of the little people. The house that bears his name allows visitors to visit temporary exhibitions devoted to humanistic photography. The works of photographers from all over the world and from all periods are shown in monographic or thematic presentations. Also note that temporary exhibitions are organized here. Thus the one proposed by Jane Evelyn Artwood, and dedicated to prostitutes on rue des Lombards in Paris, allowed us to live for a few moments in a not so distant era, in a not necessarily well known environment.
