FÉDÉRATION DE NORDIC WALKING
Invented by the Scandinavians in the 1960 s, it's a variation of walking on foot. This is an excellent preparation for cross-country skiing. The activity, very playful, can be practiced in various places, including in town, and at any age, but always with two sticks, allowing by its complete movement the work of all the joints and muscles of the body. A meeting usually lasts about two hours after heating, and ends with stretching and breathing exercises. Even seniors with heart, lung and joint problems can practice Nordic walking after their doctor's advice.
