OREMESSON CASTLE
Ormesson Castle to discover, classified as a historical monument in 1889, made of cut stone and bricks
Built at the end of the 16th century, at the request of Louis II Picot, Lord of Santeny, this castle belonged to the domain of Amboile. In the 17th century, Nicolas Le Prévost, adviser to King Louis XIII at the bailliage and presidial of Amiens, bought the property. At his death, the building went to his son-in-law, André d'Ormesson. Since then, the town has been named after him. The castle, located in an area of 140 h, is made of stone and brick. Modified in the 18th century, it was classified as a historical monument in 1889.
