LE VILA REAL
Between the different menu depending on the day and the room with its white walls decorated with shawls, we don't know what is most typical here. But we fall under the spell of the terrace, green and flowery like a garden, and the slate announcing the week's specialities, which are numerous and eclectic: feijoada, sautéed veal, chicken with rice and cabidela... Filled with meat, mussels and clams on a bed of potatoes, the plate smells like white wine, parsley, saffron and lemon. Then there will be a good dessert: a fruit salad, a caramel cream, a pear pie... The latter was melting and fruity with a well-cooked dough, as is customary in Portugal - because you will have understood, just by name, that the place is dedicated to the cuisine of this country.
