SAN MARTIN CHURCH
Small church located in the heart of the old village of Sucy-en-Brie, combining Romanesque and Gothic styles
The pretty little church of Saint-Martin, located in the heart of the old village of Sucy, was built in the 12th and 13th centuries. But its existence is attested as early as the 9th century, at the time of Charlemagne. Although it has been modified several times over the centuries, combining Romanesque and Gothic styles, it has retained its general appearance. Its 28 m high bell tower is characteristic of the Briard style. The stained glass windows in the choir, which tell the story of Saint Martin, date from the 19th century. Restorations have been carried out, especially on the roof of the side aisles
