JAPANESE GARDEN OF THE VEXIN HOSPITAL CENTER
A garden commissioned by Dr Hamon and inspired by Japanese gardens with stones, waterfalls, island, bridge and more.
A red Torii in a vexin hospital! This Japanese garden was commissioned in the early 1970s by Doctor Hamon for the well-being of his patients. Then director of the centre, passionate about Japan and a scholar in the age-old art of Japanese gardens, he was inspired by the plans of the Nijô castle for the stones, the Sambô-in garden for the waterfall, the island and the bridge... The big door - Torii - opens onto this space. In fraternity with the gardens of Albert Kahn in Boulogne.
