This loop trail combines nature, history and science in a setting of choice. First of all, you will discover the hydraulic installations of the Cistercian monks of Royaumont, in particular the canal called "Nouvelle Thève" to which the Ysieux river is connected. A water retention on the river created the Grand-Vivier pond. Queen Hortense's driveway starts here. Along the Bonnet Woods, it leads to the Baillon marsh where the wild fauna and flora are very rich: rushes, sedges, reeds, amphibians, birds, dragonflies... An illustrated sheet detailing the route can be downloaded from the website of the Oise-Pays de France Regional Nature Park or sent to you on request.
