SAINT CHRISTOPHER CHURCH
This church, classified as a historical monument in 1913, was built in the 12th century in the Romanesque style
A magnificent Renaissance portal opens onto a charming courtyard through which one enters the building. Classified as a historical monument in 1913, the church was built in the 12th century in the Romanesque style. Ruined in the 15th century, only the base of the bell tower remains from the original building. Rebuilt in the 16th century by the famous architect Nicolas Lemercier, he added an extra floor and a stone spire to the bell tower. An extension project was interrupted in 1588, following the assassination of the Duke of Guise who was financing the work.
