ST. CREPIN AND ST. CREPINIAN CHURCH
This church was built on the site of an ancient pagan place of worship.
This church, built on an ancient pagan site, was first mentioned in 690, under the name of Eglise Saint-Martin. The building was rebuilt in the 12th century, with a wooden roof covering the nave. Damaged during the Hundred Years' War, the Romanesque edifice was remodeled in the 16th century. A chapel was added. Listed as a Monument Historique, it houses the tombstone of François de La Garenne, squire to Louis XIII and then Louis XIV, who died in 1676.
