VILLAGE ESTATE
The most exceptional historical ensemble of the French Vexin, a park consisting of two major elements in Chaussy
The Villarceaux estate is one of a kind. It comprises a 16th-century waterside manor house with its tower and vaulted passageway, an 18th-century château and a 70-hectare park. The estate has existed since the 11th century, but nothing remains of the lower château. The upper château was built by Jean-Baptiste Courtonne, in the style of the neighboring 17th-century aristocratic and bourgeois houses. The park was awarded the "Jardin Remarquable" label in 2004 and the estate is certified as an "Espace Végétal Ecologique".
