CASTLE OF THE CHESNAIE
Castle inspired by Ledoux's architecture, the old character mixing marble, mirrors and woodwork, preserved inside
Inspired by Ledoux's architecture, this château was built in the 18th century and remodeled in the 19th. While the grounds are magnificent, the château's interior has retained its old-fashioned character, combining marble, mirrors and wood panelling. It bears the memory of Madame d'Houdetot, who welcomed her lover, poet and director of the Académie française, the Marquis de Saint-Lambert. She also welcomed Rousseau, whom she courted and protected. Today, the château hosts weddings, seminars and other receptions. However, it can be visited by appointment.

The owners are more welcoming, more than chickens and cockerels that bask there.
We loved the beautiful park and hundreds of species and small flowers on the paths
