LA VIGNE D'ERMONT
Heritage of Ermont's wine-growing tradition, where a harvest festival is organized with a variety of activities to keep it alive
Ermont's winegrowing tradition may have completely disappeared a few decades ago, but it's still alive today, thanks to 650 vines planted in 2002 by the town council. Although nowhere near the production levels of the 18th century, when a third of the town's territory was devoted to wine production, some 50 liters a year are still produced today. To maintain this heritage, the town organizes a grape harvest festival that is second to none, with numerous events and an ever-growing public.
