Charming villa in Herblay, dating from the early century, an architectural curiosity on the banks of the Seine.
It's a beautiful architectural curiosity on the banks of the Seine: the Villa Mauresque. Dating from the early 20th century, it is the brainchild of painter Victor Madeleine. After visiting the 1900 Paris World's Fair and admiring the architecture of the world, he decided to commission this residence. Purchased by the city in 2021, its former owner still lives there: he is the artist Philippe Druillet, a comic book scriptwriter who is said to have inspired Georges Lucas for some of the characters in Star Wars!
