HÔTEL DE VILLE
City Hall, formerly a town hall-school, with a facade decorated with red brick recalling the importance of institutions
The building adds to the country side of the village center. For what was originally a town hall-school, built in 1851, displays all the characteristics of buildings of this type in the countryside in this century. Monumental, the facade is decorated with red bricks and recalls, at the time, the importance of institutions. Today, if the school is elsewhere in the village, the town hall has retained its function, and remains since the Third Republic at the heart of the activity of Jouy-le-Moutier. Well preserved, it is well worth a look.
