An extraordinary environmental initiative, the idea is to dedicate 200 ha of land to conventional wheat cultivation
The communes of Taverny, Bessancourt and Le Plessis-Bouchard are the birthplace of this unique environmental initiative: the market garden plain. The idea is simple: until now, 200 hectares have been given over to so-called "conventional" crops - mainly wheat. The Communauté d'Agglomération Val Parisis has purchased these areas with the aim of halting the pressure of real estate development, by offering producers the opportunity to come and grow organic crops here. In addition to the tranquility of the site, you can buy directly from the farmers.
