SAN MARTIN CHURCH
Church with three naves and a polygonal apse, with a remarkable portal decorated with statuettes in L'Isle-Adam
Built in the late 15th century on Gothic foundations, the church was completed in Renaissance style by Jean Bullant, architect of the Château d'Ecouen. It is dedicated to Saint Martin, 4th-century bishop of Tours and "apostle of the Gauls". It has three naves and a polygonal apse. The church boasts a remarkable portal adorned with statuettes depicting the vices and virtues, sculpted in 1537 and restored in the 19th century. Inside, the carved wooden pulpit, probably of German origin, dates from the 16th century.
