ARCHÉA
The museum is the memory of the long history of the Country of France, whose natural wealth has attracted inhabitants since prehistoric times. This state-of-the-art building houses about 750 objects found in 87 archaeological sites where excavations have been carried out for thirty years. A chronological course allows you to discover the implantation of man in the Country of France, from prehistory to contemporary times. Thematic sections focus on farming, agriculture, food practices, and adornment. Video terminals, numerical projections, reconstructions, workshops, etc., complete the visit. Besides the Louvre Museum, also hidden under the Archéa identity the archaeological site of Orville Castle and the ceramic heritage of the Ysieux valley, whose discovery allows to understand the work of archaeologists. Regularly, the museum offers temporary events. Among these, the discovery of the flavours of the Middle Ages during the week of taste, where various exhibitions on a specific point of the life of the past, in the image of the one referring to the life of the Gallic in the region.
