MERY CASTLE
Situated in the centre of Méry-sur-Oise, the castle and its-acre park make the inhabitants of the municipality proud. From the first castle built in the th century, there is hardly anything left in the building. Mathieu-François Molé (1705-1793), President of the Parliament of Paris, gives him the th century of the remarkable classical building we are now experiencing. It is he who replant the gardens, on the Cynomolgus advice (say!). These were vandalized during the Revolution, and were remodelled in the mid th century by Louis Sulpice Varé. Bought by the municipality in 2004, the castle was then granted for 45 years to a company the operator to organize private or professional events, and will of course be unforgettable. A word from its magnificent English-style park with marshes, rivers, islands, waterfalls, water walls and botanical gardens, which is largely open to the public.
