THE ORANGERY
At the end of the th century Charles Le Brun, a painter of Louis XIV, built a sumptuous property on Montmorency Heights in a vast park. The whole will be bought in the next century by the financial Pierre Crozat. The castle was built in 1719 and built in. Completing the development of its park, this magnificent garden building was used to protect the fruit trees of the severity of winter. It is the architect Gilles-Marie Oppenordt, a student of Jules Hardouin-Mansart, who mapped out the plans of the 68-metre long circular. Since 1975, the building is listed in the Historical monuments inventory. The Orangerie was acquired in 1984 by the city council and is now home to the city conservatory.
