Many come here to enjoy the view of the Oise and the Pavillon d'Amour. And yet, the Neuville bridge is the result of a rich history. After a wooden bridge from the 15th century, a first "hard" bridge was damaged during the war of 1870 and replaced by a concrete bridge. The latter, itself dynamited by the French engineers as the enemy approached in 1940, was replaced by a temporary structure after the liberation. The deterioration of the latter and the increase in road traffic justified the construction of the current bridge, inaugurated in 1974.
