LE PONT DE PONTOISE
Bridge located at the crossroads of the Oise and Caesar's Causeway, whose design is similar to those of Neuilly and Tancarville.
Its current appearance dates from 1948, and its design is similar to the bridges of Neuilly and Tancarville. But it is the history, sometimes unknown, of this bridge, which makes it a very special work in Pontoise. Located at the crossroads of the Oise and the Caesar road (which linked Rouen and Paris), its first version dates back to 1070. At that time, it was surrounded by towers and guarded the access to the city. Rebuilt in the 19th century, replaced at the end of the same century by a metal bridge, it was destroyed during the Second World War, before finding its current appearance.
