BOIS DU PLANITE
The Planite wood to the north-east of the town is a starting point to discover the preserved road of Julius Caesar
This wood, located in the north-east of the small town, is especially known for being the starting point of an incredible vestige: the road of Julius Caesar. The latter - as you may have guessed - dates from the 1st century A.D., and ran towards the sea, in the vicinity of Le Havre. Several excavation campaigns have brought to light many portions of this route, which in the Planite wood takes on a very special aspect: indeed, here, the roadway is admirably preserved, allowing one to marvel even more at the work done.
